Children In Rafah Devastated Injured And Traumatized

Children in Rafah: Devastated, Injured, and Traumatized

UNICEF Calls for Urgent Assistance

"Bodies of children melted," eyewitness reports

Rafah, a densely populated city in the south of the Gaza Strip, has suffered severe casualties and destruction in recent conflicts. With hundreds of thousands of children in Rafah injured, sick, malnourished, traumatized, or living with a disability, UNICEF is calling for immediate and comprehensive assistance.

Eyewitness accounts from Rafah paint a horrifying picture of the devastation. One eyewitness described seeing "bodies of children melted" and "bodies as if they were charred." The death toll among children is rising rapidly, and the number of injured and traumatized is overwhelming.

UNICEF and its partners are working tirelessly to provide emergency relief to children and families in Rafah. They are distributing food, water, medical supplies, and psychosocial support to those in need.

However, more help is urgently needed. UNICEF is appealing for international assistance to meet the humanitarian needs of children in Rafah and ensure their safety and well-being.
